Another Week...

...in the life of hotel living.
I was a photo taking machine this week.  The week seemed to drag on yet it appears we were out n'about & busy this week.
Monday afternoon we picked Emma up from school and then headed for the park.  It was pretty warm and this poorly prepared mama has her kids running around 85 degree Georgia heat in pants and mostly long sleeve T's...this day they were lucky because the very few short sleeved shirts we brought were clean.
The boys are OBSESSED with dandelions!  I guess in Kansas daddy banished them from our yard, AZ didn't have many, but they are plentiful here!  Aidan gathered as many as he could and blew the seeds until he had no breath. :)

Isaac loves to scatter the seeds by blowing them, but spends more of this time getting them out of his eyes, mouth & nose. :)

Emma is not impressed with dandelions.  She was however THRILLED to receive her Discovery Girls fashion issue complete with fashion guide.  Besides it was just toooooo HOT to play.

Monday feeling so blessed and positive.  Had it in my mind we might hear some word on the house today. Short sale negotiator was reviewing paperwork.  So if not today, surely Tuesday. Deadline was Wednesday by lunch in order to get docs to proper parties for a 30th closing.
Tuesday was day 2 of Operation No Pull ups.  Boys & I did some shopping and then had lunch at Chick'fil'a and was suppose to play afterwards.  BUT the deal was Mr. Isaac would potty in the potty before sneaking up in the play place and leaving a puddle.  He refused, so we had to leave without playing but not before trying his cutest puppy dog impression to sweeten me up. :)

Afternoon filled with blanket fort fun, and lots of email inbox stalking but, alas no word.

Wednesday started with grocery shopping for the boys & I.  By the time we left Wal-Mart I realized we should have just stayed in bed all day. :)  With a cart full of groceries in the check out lane I realize I can't find my debit card...and my credit card doesn't work b/c the bank issued us new ones the other day b/c our account had been "compromised".  Yea...the new one...back in the hotel room.  Off we go to retrieve it.  It's then I receive news from our realtor.  Just more complication, more unknown deadlines & for the first time she questions if we should start looking for back up home options.
Many many emails & phone calls that day.  Matt unreachable due to state health dept meetings & things like meeting the governor.  Initially upon hearing the words I was furious.  I'm not a one to swear, just not something I'm inclined to do.  But man this day on the inside of my head I was a platoon of navy sailors with X-rated sailor mouth. However, by the time Matt gets home we had some retail therapy at Tanger Outlet...

...and we got different bits of info suggesting some positive leads to our lender party contacting and working with the selling party.  *Fingers crossed*
Thursday the boys & I had to run some paperwork to Matt at work so he could sign and fax to our realtor.  Amazing the vehicles you see driving down the road.  This doesn't scream cool to me...more like taxi...

Another yellow vehicle of sorts...

I had just been telling my mom about the massive amounts of pollen out here.  The asphalt is yellow.  Cars are yellow.  Running your wipers in the AM to sweep the pollen off your windshield turns your washer fluid to a stream of yellow liquid dripping down your window.  Go to QT to wash your windshield & the washer reservoirs are full of it.  Luckily the kids have not seemed to be effected.  Not a sneeze, drip of snot or itchy eye in the place.
Boys would occasionally build a fort while I was continuing to thrash out emails lighting fires under the hinny of anyone and everyone with so much as an eye on our home purchase process.

But every now and then Aidan made it clear he was in need of some attention.  If only I could teach him to rub my shoulders while he was sitting up there. :) I offered Matt that he could take this neck-warmer-you-wont-fall-asleep-while-working device to work, but he declined.

Friday I knew I had to get out of the hotel.  Out, busy, gone the whole day.  It was a bit rainy & looked like it might rain all day.  Great news according to folks living here b/c the rain takes the pollen out of the air.  Well, guess what?!?!  The kids sneezed, snotted and itched their eyes ALL day.  Hmm.  The terrific twosome and I had to run Matt his BB tourney $$ to mail off to his boss.  Since we would be closer to town we decided to browse a little indoor mall not to far from his work.  Welllll...I thought it was close.  After 2 lengthy detours, no GPS and too heavy of traffic to use my phone map app AND a little boy in day 5 of Operation No Pull-ups begging to pee in a cup in the van we finally found the mall. :)
We browsed.  Went to the potty. Rode the carousel.  Pretended to ride other ride on toys. Went to the potty. Rode every escalator and elevator in the place. Went to the potty.

We also visited one of the 2 rings I had looked at last time I was there.  I had been wanting an aquamarine ring (me & Matt's birthstone) but then I also saw some white sapphires which have a very slight blue tint and there's just oh so many pretty rings. :) Kind of thought it would be a nice gift for Matt to get me for oh...my bday, mothers day, anniversary or payment for my position as household relocation coordinators twice in the last 2 years.
Well whatdayaknow right before we left for the mall Matt said "just buy it".  (Which of course takes all the fun out of it cause it would be waaay better coming from him, even though I picked it out.  Silly boy.) Add to that the coinkidink that it so happened to be on $$SALE$$$ and guess what you get....this....

I was on a mission to see how many days weeks it would take for Matt to notice.  Well my overly observant daughter overthrew my mission.  She blurted out Friday evening "hey you got a new ring!". So it was then Matt saw what "he" got me.
Her blurt actually happened here....a man's paradise of dream shopping...

We had heard of a shopping center down south in Macon GA.  Matt was off work a bit early on Friday after working 16 hours on Thursday.  So I got Emma from school and off we went.
Aidan put this on his wish list.

Ironically, or not, we seemed to find many gift ideas for my dad at Bass Pro.  The kids found this massaging camo recliner to ease the strain from all those cold mornings perched in his wilderness, roughing it heated, enclosed, & carpeted deer stand. :)

Then I found this for his new found love for Blackberry wine.  Only bummed to learn he already has one.

That doesn't really conclude our week, because we did something SUPER awesome on Saturday that will have to be a post all by itself. :)  But one last shot for the week...I found this self portrait of Emma while downloading pics off my camera.

Where does this come from???? I see all these silly teen girls on FB making this pucker face that I think they do to look "cool", though IMHO makes them look super dorky!!!  Oh my stars will we have our hands full with her.
