Summer Trip to KS Pt. IV

After visiting with our AZ buddies we went to  pickup one of Emma's.  Miss Avery that we had hung with at VBS.  The girls needed more BFF time.  She came to Gma & Papa's with us for a sleep over.   Girls had fun swimming & eating massive quantities of snow cones.

Monday I took Avery home in Derby, spent a couple house of the afternoon with my bestie Shonda (how do a few hours go SO quickly!?!?) and then I went by and picked up my nephews Alex & Dylan. They weren't able to be at the 4th so we had them over for a sleep over Monday night.

The cousins had a BALL swimming for hours.

Alex was such a trooper playing with Isaac who adores him.

Emma found the advantage it is to have big burly cousins who can toss her around.  They had so much fun and I have fun with a  new camera setting to capture their fun...

They were all tuckered out after a long day of playing together! :)

Tuesday Matt & I took the kids to meet my friend Tamara at the Mulvane park for a photo shoot of the kiddos. I was time to update the pics my friend Jen had taken before we left KS.  I'd highly recommend them to anyone in the Derby/Wichita areas. Visit Tamara's site HERE and Jen's HERE.

Here's my favs of the many she took! Emma looking so big.  Her eyes are such an interesting color.

Aidan my silly goofy boy gave some nice shots!

Then there's Isaac.  I have no idea how she go so many good shots of him.  He is SO distractible and so random, yet there were SO many good ones of him!

Below is evidence on why sometimes saying "No" to him is sometimes tough. :)

Isaac's favorite- rocket "bip".  He thought they were a bit loud at times.

I think that fireball looking thing was part of the grand finale.  Chris and Matt love doing the fireworks and creating a show for the fam.  Once fireworks were over the kids enjoyed smores while the guys played cards. Another great 4th in the books!

Later in the week Matt & Chris took Libby and Aidan to a Star Wars event at Exploration Place in Wichita. Emma, Peggy and I decided to do some shopping...much to Isaac's dismay. :)

Emma left with Chris and Libby to sleep over at their house after our day in Wichita.  She had a ball.  Uncle Chris took her out for lunch and had shrimp- which she still raves about as being "the best shrimp ever with garlic & butter on it".  Aunt Mandy & Libby took her to see the movie Brave.  Great family & cousin time...makes me sad we are too far away to do it more often. :(

We took out Sunday for Georgia.  Trip went well but seemed to be the trip that would never end when we took a detour to go around some construction delays.  Back to "home" to make it feel like home.
