Matt's company picnic was held at Stone Mountain this year. We had a great time and were able to get a bit of family time in before daddy had to go into work mode. There's still so much more left to explore at Stone Mountain Park. A return trip will be in our future.
Going up the Sky Ride. Isaac LOVED it, Aidan a bit more apprehensive.
Riding a ride high in the sky...not scary. Standing on a big rock and your children gleefully running around on said giant rock....scary!!!
Emma's idea of trick photography.
Going back down.
Once we were back on solid, unelevated land we hopped aboard the train that circles the base of Stone Mountain.
After the train ride Matt had to report to the pavilion they rented for the picnic. So, the kids and I took in the 4D Journey 2 movie experience and walked around to see the different pumpkin displays. The Duck Dynasty one was their favorite.
A very long walk lead us to the QT pavilion. Several hundred QT employees enjoyed a cookout and those more blessed in the rhythm department shook some moves on the dance floor. The boys played in the sand volleyball pit and left a little bit of sand there. :S
After the picnic we headed back over to the park for the night show. A combination of lasers, music and fireworks put on quite a show!
We successfully wore the kids out!!!!
