Jan.–Mar. '14

As I type this it is actually May 1st.  But in my chronological obsessiveness I'm throwing this blog update in the line up to keep my memory alive when I'm scrapbooking this in 15 years. :)

January started with a BANG!  A huge surprise and exciting momentum to learn we were expecting.  With a February trip to Kansas planned we decided that would be a great time to share our news.  We arrive at my families first.  We enjoyed a big family get together at my sisters on Super Bowl Sunday with my parents, my brother and his wife, friends and some of my aunts & uncles.  It was a great time to see everyone.

While we were there the kids were thrilled with the approx. 12" snowfall!!!

Once done at my parents we headed down to Matt's family. His mother, Emma and I attended our favorite scrapbooking event EVER- Cropaganza. Such a great time!  Several of my college friends also attend.  It's the best time!  We always ponder if $$ and time were no object how long we could stay there and scrap.  I don't think I would ever tire of it!  I'd start to miss my boys...but could totally live there and scrap my life away! :)

Once back in Georgia we attempted to get back into our routine.  The time off hurt the strides I was making with Aidan and it was/has been hard getting him back into the routine.  Most days they play perfectly well together in the morning in an attempt to avoid starting school.  Often times its some form of dress up, spy, adventure pretend play.

January, February and March had Saturday's filled with Girl Scout cookie booth sales and Upward Cheerleading games.  It was exhausting for an already exhausted and sickly momma.

The boys weren't much for watching sissy cheer or the basketball game. :)

Unfortunately February ended and March began with devastating news, surgery for me and a still on going mess of emotions and physical discomfort. Keep hoping summer will be a new beginning.
