Isaac's 3rd

Seemingly unaware his bday was coming I asked Isaac what he wanted his party to be.  He consistently said "Car-cars".

Considering every time I turn around he is naked (I'd say he spends about 85% of his time in his bday suit) I informed him me that was NOT appropriate attire for his bday party. :)  This is how he appeared after coming down from his room.  Cars slippers, his "BDAY" hat & his fluffy bear.

With the help of pinterest I found some ideas for Cars cakes.  My motivation was very lacking in putting this cake together...guess my mind remembered how easy life was skipping making Aidan's cake this year! :)  Luckily he was the only one I had to please...and once it was all together it wasn't that bad...I guess. The black fondant did NOT turn out well.  Way wrong consistency.  It was a mess.  The "road" up close kinda looked like the asphalt Lightening McQueen did in the first Cars movie! :)

Then on to gifts. First up a dinosaur book with big googly eyes. (Shhh.  Don't tell him I found it at Goodwill for 75 cents!)  Then he got a little pouch of teeny tiny animals I found at the museum.  He adores playing with little plastic animals and especially if they are little.

Sissy made him a magnetic art holder with a nice note....good thing Aidan didn't hear it read.

A Cars book that came with little cars (which I used on the cake) and a plastic map to drive them on (which was used on the table as décor). :) Then even though stuffed animals drives this Momma NUTS I couldn't resist getting him this "tritops" as he calls it.

How old are you Isaac??? When asked he ALWAYS says 4 b/c the child refuses to say the word "three".  When he counts (which he does very well) he always skips the number 3.  No matter how often we have tried it's always "one, two, four, five, six, seben, eight, nine, ben, eweven, twelbe, thirteen, fourteen, fiveteen....and on".

So, Isaac is 3.  Thanks to this blog he probably has the best record of his growth & changes than the other 2 kids.  Like here for his 2nd bday, 1st bday, etc, etc. What he LOVES- Cars, ToyStory, taking an interest in playing with brothers Power Rangers, small plastic animal figurines, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Team Umizoomi, reading any type of book but especially loves dinosaur books and seek & find books, to get up with the sun, lengthy baths & swimming. As far as food he is still quite picky and probably only eats one full meal a day.  He loves grilled or roasted chicken, spaghetti/alfrado, hot dogs, raisin toast, yogurt, apples, cheese sticks, club crackers, cheezits, raisins, QT slushies & eats plain vanilla ice cream like it's the last dish he will ever receive.  He doesn't like all other foods :), bedtime without stories & being sung to, dislikes mommy sleeping past 6 am, doesn't care for shopping, sad when sissy goes to school each day & wearing clothing of any type.  He is fully potty trained although he still wears a pull-up just at night time.  He's wearing size 4/5 clothing and a size 9 WIDE shoes.  He just recently gave up his afternoon nap which is make for some rough evenings b/c he's still a bit tired.  He usually goes to bed about 8:30pm and has his internal alarm clock set for a consistent 6-6:30 am. And perhaps what I'm MOST proud of is he turned 3 withOUT a pappy!!!!  There was a time I wasn't sure that would happen! :)
