Mimi & Papa came out Labor Day weekend for Papa's army reunion that happened to be a bit north of us in Marietta. It was a great dual purpose visit! The kids, mom & I dropped Papa off at the hotel conference center to visit with his buddies while we hit a local art festival event in downtown Marietta square. It was a neat place to visit with several things for the kids to do.
We started out with a unique car show and "face" painting.
Mom's favorite entry in the car show...
Yes. It's a quilt covered car!
There was an entire area dedicated to children making art. That was RIGHT up Emma's ally!
They made little clothespin people to add to a shoebox city scape.
Paper plate visors. Emma & Isaac got to paint their mark on a huge blank canvas.
The boys enjoyed playing on the train in the park. A quick pic with Mimi by the fountain.
After the art fest the kids enjoyed a dip in Mimi & Papa's hotel pool. We then left with the boys in tears because they wanted to stay and rest in Mimi's hotel bed.
Our children are officially obsessed with hotel living!!! Monday morning we picked them up and took them back to the airport. A short but sweet visit!
