Dresser Dress up

Emma's white dresser looked great on the pink walls of her bedrooms in our former homes. Momma was unwilling to paint another bedroom wall pink so we had to find another way to splash some color into the room.

Before the slightly yellowed dresser blended into the bright white wall.  Now with a fresh coat of white semi-gloss it shines & will be easier to dust.

Ombre seems to be quite popular in decorating as well as on a head of hair. There's no way I could pull it off on my head.  Pretty sure it would just look like I neglected my roots...so it seemed like good inspiration for this furniture piece.

For the drawer fronts I purchased paint sample containers at Lowes ($3. a piece!!) unfortunately they come in satin sheen.  I wanted the drawers to be a bit more durable and easy to clean so I did spray them with a glossy clear coat once the paint was dry.

Add some glass knobs from Hob Lob when they are running a 50% off knobs sale...and BAM!  You are done!!
