Thanksgiving '12

Table is set with cute little turkey placemats made by Mimi.  Turkey is carved by da'man.

Aidan was most excited about the bluff.  A.k.a Strawberry FLUFF salad that is a specialty of Mimi.

Isaac my anti-eater & roll fork poker.  Refused the turkey placemat and only wanted Mimi's tiger placemat.

After lunch snuggles & movie- Brave.  BTW we have a sectional that will seat 6 comfortably and probably 9 total.  Yes they all sit on the one cushion that is "momma's" spot.  All the time.  Like everyday.

Isaac later cashed out on his bean bag.

Leading up to turkey day I had promised we would start decorating early for Christmas since we were traveling out of town for Christmas. Then I cooked all day.  Then we watched a movie.  Then all mommy wanted to do was be lazy...BUT promises are promises.  So, lucky for me getting out the nativity (or activity as Aidan calls it) filled their decorating requirement! Yay!

Isaac is fascinated with Jesus and Aidan loves playing with the wise men. We love getting our nativity out each year.  Matt and I started it about 12 years ago and have slowly added pieces to it each year. I love how they have a hand crafted look but are made of a material the kids can handle without fear of damaging them!

No turkey dinner is complete until a couple days later you make up some home made noodles for turkey and noodles!!  And here's as glamorous as you can look making noodles from scratch.  I sign autographs with or without floured hands! :)
