Prior to Halloween we met with our small group from church to carve pumpkins. We made the ghost jack-o-lantern that night and then carved the other two at home. I LOVE the circle one...Matt used his drill to make different sized holes and I think it looks awesome!
Here's Aidan (top right of photo) dressed as "an adult" at his fall harvest party at his school. We were gone when the note came home that they were allowed to wear costumes. Momma: FAIL. Luckily Aidan is go-with-the-flow kid and quickly commented that he dressed up like an adult. Isaac and I tagged along as the kids played lots of game, decorated cookies & did a pumpkin carving devotion.
Now welcome to the presentation of the least put together (easiest) Halloween costumes to date for the Stout family. With all the preparations for the trip back to KS for the wedding my brain couldn't focus on costumes, nor did time allow for me to make them like I usually do.
So Party City & Wal-Mart to the rescue...I present the Gold and Red Power Ranger and a "50's girl".
Isaac loved trick or treating around the neighborhood. He loved his ranger suit...and from the back view you can tell it's going to be too small in no time! :)
They didn't get as much sugary loot as usual. So many homes didn't have their lights on. Our house was slammed and we were out of candy in NO time! Kinda sad remembering back to how fun our neighborhood was in AZ. The weather beautiful and all the families came out with so many houses decorated...and Halloween marks the anniversary of meeting my dear sweet friend Megan in AZ. :(
