We were all excited for Christmas morning to arrive. We were involved in Christmas Eve services at church and while we loved the experience it was a bit nerve wracking since some of it was a bit out of our "box". In typical fashion the kids were eager to get to bed...YAY!
We were a bit nervous for Santa because sometimes our kiddos like to wander at night. Emma in her sleep walking episodes and the boys searching to snuggle mommy & daddy. With a balcony that overlooks the living room there was some concern he might get busted.
Like good kiddos it was about 7 a.m. when they woke. All very please with their findings.
Emma got Lego friends house from Santa. We got her American Girl school set, microphone and stand and this luggage set for her big travel plans next summer.
Isaac's main wish was Dusty the Crop Hopper Legos and a Minecraft stuffed pig. He also got a super fun HotWheels set where you build your own track using individual pieces.
Aidan only had 2 requests...which took forever for him to even come up with was an orange bike and Disney Infinity. Luckily Santa came through with one and momma found a smokin hot 1/2 price deal on Infinity! He was one happy camper!
Matt wasn't left out! They boys were so proud to pick out a Star Trek space ship HotWheel. I got him the shirt. I really thought it was going to happen this year!!
I was blessed with this beautiful necklace from Emma. She is about as tight as it comes with her money, but she LOVES buying gifts for people!!
It's so great to have technology! Skype allowed the boys to open their Legos from Grandma & Papa & gifts from Uncle Adam & Aunt Beth.
Oh the aftermath...so totally worth it! We had our traditional Christmas breakfast burritos and I was spared the baking of cinnamon rolls thanks to a care package from a sweet friend!
Later in the day we had a simplified Christmas dinner just the 5 of us. Not sure I will ever come to love such a quiet, or should I say "quaint" (cause my kids are NOT quiet) gathering. I miss the togetherness with aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents around the holidays!
Until next year! Already got some new ideas for next year's holidays!
