the BIG One-oh!

I can get overwhelmed with sadness at how quickly Emma is growing...but one perk?  She helps plan and carry out her party events and decorations! This year- Art Extravaganza!!

This was the inspiration for our invitations.  Then we used all primary colors to decorate.

This was by far the easiest birthday cake I've decorated!  The baking took a bit longer, but wasn't complicated at all!

How blessed that in our time here Emma has made so many friends!  Between neighborhood, small group, church, girl scouts and homeschooling groups she had a wonderful group of girls in attendance.

Cutting the cake was as exciting as opening a present!

Each girl made her very own canvas painting.  They all seemed to have a very good time!

She got several crafty gifts and some shopping cards to support her crafty habit! :)

It was great to have my moms extra hands here for the party!  The day of her birthday mom and I took her to a movie and then met Matt & the boys for her annual Hibachi grill birthday dinner.  The chef made her a heart rice "cake" complete with "candle".

She decided to try wasabi-

Mimi had to leave the next day, but we all enjoyed her visit! Looks like my tree and Mimi are shrinking cause these kids are about as tall as Mimi! :)
