Emma's school hosts a Father Daughter dance PTO fundraiser each year. She was so excited to get to go this year. She missed last year's dance by just a week or so because we hadn't got her enrolled yet.
Due to the start time of the dance Matt & Emma weren't going to have enough time to go to a nice dinner at her place of choice, like Olive Garden. To spare them from going to the local McD's in their dress duds I proposed playing as their server at Teresa's Italian Cuisine. I used random stuff around the house and some scrapbook supplies to create a special table for two in our formal dining room turned office.
For those who might know Emma well know that she is the queen of decorating and "event" planning so the bar I had to meet was HIGH! :)
Looked like they were happy with their dining experience and despite etiquette Matt remarked to Emma how hot the waitress was. ;)
Here's my pretty girl all dress in her new dress. So sweet! *Note coordinating nail polish*
She was super excited about her "high" heels.
The girly with her proud Daddy.
Aidan might have been just as excited as Emma. He wanted to help serve them dinner too. He serenaded them with song of "Silent Night". I told him that next year we could go to the Mother Son dance. Immediately he started making plans. First plan "I need one of those things that the guys lined up at Uncle Adam's wedding wore". A tux? "Mom can I drive you to the dance when we go?" Uh NO sweetheart!!
He looks so grown up here!!
